Year One: Build a Community of Partnership and a Pedagogy of Student Voice 
​

Full-Day Faculty Intensives: In-Person, up to 30 teachers

In the fall, we meet for 2 days to experience: 
  • Values-Based Community Building and Circles
  • Conflict Resolution through Identifying Unmet Needs and Restorative Conversations

In the spring, we meet for 2 days to experience: 
  • Class Discussions as Academic Circles and Socratic Seminar
  • Discuss Current Events: Whole Class, Small Group, and In Writing​​
1:1 Leadership Coaching: Bi-Weekly calls for 45-minutes via Zoom  

In the fall, we design and implement supports, like: 
  • Coaching cycles and teacher success shares 
    Walkthrough “look fors” or observation rubric language that prioritizes practices from faculty intensives 
​
In the spring, we develop strategies and tools to communicate with families, including:  
  • Resource bank of templates and shared language
  • Various data collection formats to deepen understanding of student and family experiences

​Year One also includes 2 follow-up visits to support implementation and alignment of success metrics
PLUS access to my self-paced courses for all participating teachers and leaders. 

​Year Two: Facilitate Student Inquiry 
​

Full-Day Faculty Intensives: In-Person, up to 30 teachers

In the fall, we meet for 2 days to experience: 
  • Question Generation Protocols
  • Independent Learner Protocols and Resources for Student-Led Research

In the spring, we meet for 2 days to experience: 
  • Design Case Study Lessons
  • From Research to Action: Co-Create Student-Led Civic Action Projects
1:1 Leadership Coaching: Bi-Weekly calls for 45-minutes via Zoom  

In the fall, we refine and expand supports, like: 
  • Curate sample lessons and student work for the resource bank
  • Peer coaching
  • Expand access for students and families to share experiences

In the spring, we refine and expand supports, like:  
  • Shared language for talking to families about student-led civics projects and specific challenging situations that may arise during civic action projects

​Year Two also includes 2 follow-up visits to support implementation and alignment of success metrics
PLUS access to my self-paced courses for all participating teachers and leaders. 

Year Three: Support Student-Led Civics Projects
​

Full-Day Faculty Intensives: In-Person, up to 30 teachers

In the fall, we meet for 2 days to experience: 
  • Strategies for Student Exploration of Self and Civic Identity
  • Help Students Pick an Issue to Address

In the spring, we meet for 2 days to experience: 
  • Introduce Participatory Action Research and Community Data Collection Strategies
  • Share Possibilities for Action and Support Students to Develop an Action Plan 
1:1 Leadership Coaching: Bi-Weekly calls for 45-minutes via Zoom  

In the fall, we design and implement supports for students' civic action projects, like: 
  • Community partnerships to support student projects
    Staff-Wide sharing of contacts for possible project mentors

In the spring, we refine and expand structures and systems of support based on leader and faculty needs.

​​Year Three also includes 2 follow-up visits to support implementation and alignment of success metrics
PLUS access to my self-paced courses for all participating teachers and leaders. ​
